Our approach
STEM//COMMAND is designed to collect only what is needed to run the features you choose to use. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Information you provide
This can include your email address for account access, profile name, study goals, practice answers, timing and confidence signals, saved events, college-workspace entries, friend invitations, and messages. You choose what to enter.
How we use information
We use it to operate your account, personalize study recommendations, keep your purchases available, provide collaboration features you choose to use, prevent abuse, and improve the app. College-workspace information is used only to provide your private workspace.
Where information is stored
Some study preferences and progress may be stored in your browser. Account-based features, verified purchases, and College Application Pack workspace records are stored through our service providers, including Supabase. Payment details are handled by Stripe, not stored by STEM//COMMAND.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to operate the app, such as authentication, database, payment, and AI providers; when you choose to share with a friend; or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
AI features
If you use COMMAND AI, your question is sent to the AI service needed to generate a response. Do not submit passwords, payment details, private school records, or other sensitive information to AI chat. AI answers can be mistaken and should be checked, especially for important academic, medical, legal, or financial decisions.
Students and families
Do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required where you live without a parent or guardian’s permission. Parents or guardians may contact us to ask about an eligible student’s information. Schools should not upload student records unless they have the appropriate permission.
Your choices
You can update information in the app, control what you share with friends, sign out, and request deletion of account-based information by emailing thelumbsdentwins@protonmail.com. Clearing browser data can remove information stored only on that device.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app develops. We will change the effective date when we do. For privacy questions or deletion requests, email thelumbsdentwins@protonmail.com.
